Insanitarium (2008)

It has been a couple days since I have found something I haven’t seen, that is, until I stumbled onto Insanitarium on FearNet. This 2008 film sounded interesting and being a huge zombie fan, I couldn’t resist a chance to see flesh eaters from a different avenue.

Plot/ A man pretends to be crazy in order to save his sister from being involuntarily hospitalized. Once inside the institute, the siblings discover that a doctor is using his patients like lab rats, forcing them to take a drug that turns them into flesh-eating psychopaths.

This was a decent film, which is actually A LOT better than I had hoped for when turning it on. The plot was average and pretty typical, but what it lacked in plot, it made up in gore! The acting is good throughout the entire film and there are some nice bits of characterization. However, at the end of the day, it is clearly the blood, severed limbs and decapitations that make this worth watching again (at least once).
